Powerful, wealthy special interest groups are bent on making Maryland the next stop in their same sex “marriage experiment.” They’re spending millions to achieve their goals to erase the traditional definition of marriage and to label as bigots anyone who opposes them.

They have the special interests, but we have the people.  We defeated them in the 2011 session of the General Assembly because thousands of everyday Marylanders who care about our children and our state rose up and told our elected officials, “hands off redefining marriage!”

We need your help to again!  Our opponents are back with even more vigor in 2012, and we must match them.  For every special interest dollar they spend, we must match with new volunteers.

The Maryland Marriage Alliance is a grassroots, non-partisan, interfaith coalition dedicated to preserving the traditional definition of marriage in Maryland law. The Maryland Marriage Alliance is supported by the Maryland Family Alliance, the Maryland Catholic Conference, and the National Organization for Marriage, and is the leading entity in Maryland focused solely on the preservation of marriage. Along with our three sponsoring organizations, we are made up of hundreds of local community leaders, pastors, family organizations, and concerned citizens who know that preserving traditional marriage helps keep Maryland strong.
